Pop Culture Kryptonite

My pop culture weakness is any of the Bravo Real Housewives shows. I love watching the pointless drama unfold week after week. I always watch the show with my dad when i'm home. The show gives us the ability to completely relax. There are no complex themes or tough story lines that need to be followed. It's purely simple and easily watchable entertainment that requires no thinking or difficulty understanding. We both enjoy shows that challenge us to think and engage, but sometimes it's nice to simply watch a show for the entertainment value alone. Our personal favorite cities are The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Orange County, and New Jersey. Though many don't understand the purpose of watching fabricated drama and the boring lives of other people, there is something about the show that has both me and my dad hooked. Week after week I watch as tired storylines are played out for far to long, the same conversations are had over and over again, and the housewives seem to fight about the same thing that they have been fighting about for the entire season, but I always tune in to watch, and I always enjoy the episodes. It's the definition of a guilty pleasure.
