There were a lot of great and effective presentations in this class. However, the presentation that I found to be the most effective was Noah’s. His project was centered around politics and social media. How in the 21st century, sites like twitter are becoming places were politicians share thoughts and opinions. The main purpose of Noah’s project #3 was to get the general public’s thoughts and feelings on politicians use of social media. His three genres were a Twitter page, a Tumblr, and an infographic. The way that Noah went about promoting his project and the strategies he took in order to gain attention for it was extremely unique and creative. He really thought through his promotion process in order to ensure that he got results and feedback. He used an app called crowd fire which would send him to other pages to follow that were similar to those he already followed. After someone would follow him back, the app would automatically DM them with a personalized message, which included a link to his tumblr page. This was a great way to get his followers to engage with his twitter page and get them to vote in his polls, as well as promoting his tumblr page at the same time. Noah also retweeted all of his polls, which were the majority of his tweets, on his personal twitter and class twitter so that even if someone didn’t follow him on his project #3 twitter, they would still see the poll and could vote in it. Noah’s organization and strategical promotion of project three was what led it to be, in my opinion, the most effective project #3 presentation.
