For project one, I am going to be writing my paper about “The Hunger Games” franchise. The three artifacts I am going to analyze rhetorically in my paper would be the three-part book series, the four-part movie series, and mocking jay pin worn by katniss throughout the series. I am beginning with the book series because that is where it all began, that was the beginning of “The Hunger Games” empire. I am writing about the movies which followed because that is where the series really caught fire. Many people hadn’t heard of “The Hunger Games” books before the movies came out, so the movies were somewhat of the franchises catalyst into super stardom. I chose the mocking jay pin because the pin becomes known as the mascot for the rebellion. For my project, I am organizing it by writing bullets of the information I choose to use for each artifact before I begin writing my first draft. By doing this, I will have all my information organized and thought out before I put it into essay form. My favorite part of this project would have to be the creative freedom that we have. We can really write about anything as long as it is some type of pop culture. It makes the project more enjoyable to be able to write about what I want to write about. The biggest challenge so far would have to be just starting the paper. I spent a lot of time thinking about what I wanted to write about, but now I actually have to start forming my essay.
