Ten Tweeting Celebrities

The 10 internet personalities that I followed on twitter are Justin Bieber, Conan O’Brien, Adele, Scott Disick, Ryan Reynolds, Chris Pratt, Jimmy Kimmel, Khloe Kardashian, Chrissy Teigen, and Kanye West. All of these celebrities use twitter in their own way, but they all use twitter in a similar fashion. Justin Bieber is a musician, and his brand generally appeals to girls ranging from pre-teen to young-adult. He uses his twitter page to promote projects he is working on, as well as keeping fans updated on what he’s doing and as a way to interact with his fans. Conan O’Brien is a late night talk show host and comedian. His brand appeals to a large audience, but it would generally be an older crowd tuning into his show, “Conan”. Conan stays true to his brand of being a comedian through his twitter page. He often posts commentary on events going on in the world, but adds his own comedic twist. Adele is a musician whose audience ranges across all different age groups. She uses her twitter to interact with fans, share upcoming projects, and share her opinions. Kanye West, also a musician, and fashion designer, uses his twitter to promote his brand, as well as going off on strange tangents occasionally. Scott Disick, Khloe Kardashian, and Chrissy Teigen can all kind of be lumped together in the same category. They are basically celebrities who are famous simply for being famous. Chrissy Teigen is married to musician John Legend and uses her twitter to share her opinion, often in a comedic fashion, give life updates and interact with fans, and share recipes. Khloe and Scott use their twitter to promote events they will be at and projects they are involved with, as well as to interact with fans. Ryan Reynolds and Chris Pratt are both actors. They both are known for being quite funny and witty, so their personalities really come out through their twitter pages. Like Conan, Jimmy Kimmel is also a late night talk show host and comedian with a similar audience. He uses his twitter to provide funny commentary on the world as well as sharing news about projects he’s involved in. I feel that these celebrities are all authentic with their twitter pages. Their personalities shine through and most of them are not censored. They share their unfiltered opinions and communicate openly with their fans. All these celebrities use ethos. They are credible to their audience because the opinions and news they are sharing is their own and the things that they want to share.
